Statement
My pictures are not an effort to document in any real sense, but rather the
collision of my experiences, the tangible world and the nature of photography.
I take the viewpoint that reality is fascinating, but that my view of it will be
hopelessly subjective and all of this will be articulated by the photographic
properties to which pictures are inevitably bound. I photograph to learn both
the appearance of things and also my feelings about them. I prefer images
to pose questions and answer in part by returning to the physical world,
and issues dealt with in the act of photographing.
